![]() Approval has been given by the authorities to expand the Asian Poker Tour which takes place in Macau, this will double the amount of days available from six to twelve making it the largest Asian Poker Tour and the first ever held festival of poker. Running from the 12th August and ending on the 23rd August it is expected that even more famous names than last year will attend this prestigious poker tour which takes place at the Galaxy Starworld Hotel and Casino. Last years big names who took part from 40 counties included Doyle Brunson, John Juanda, Todd Brunson, Johnny Chan and Jack Binion as well as many more. The eventual winner was Yevgeniy Tomoshenko a 20 year old from America who walked away with the $500,000 prize fund as well as the title. There will be a whole package of poker events to enjoy during the festival as well of course the main event that has been extended to three days and has buy-ins set at $4,000 + $300 and takes place on August 19th. There will be the final day which will be televised on 23rd August. The poker games played will include High-limit and sit ‘n’ go’s, ther will also be constant updates on various online poker sites including, 32 Red Poker, PKR.com, PartyPoker as well as many more besides.
