Sun Poker.com have performed a switch of software online poker platform from Cryptologic to the very latest Playtech software which is the operator of ipoker Network, the swap of platform which affects both online poker players and affiliates has no doubt caused a massive headache for the Sun Poker team, although at time of writing no major problems had been experienced. Existing Sun Poker players will have until the 31st January 2009 to play the Cryptologic software after which time they will be required to complete a form to receive new password details for the ipoker Network software, which will be required to download prior to play. Online poker players with Sun Poker MPP (My Poker Points) points will be disappointed to learn that they cannot carry over the MPP’s to the new account, however the official Support page at Sun Poker states that “We will have a special promotion once we move which will be based on the number MPP’s you have accumulated on the Cryptologic network.” This should soften the blow for their loyal account holders. Existing cleared funds in Client accounts are able to be transferred to the new account if they are eligible for withdrawal. As an incentive to stay with Sun Poker and to install the new software Sun Poker have made it possible for all their existing account holders to be eligible for the first deposit sign up bonus of up to $500 which will most certainly go a long way to sweeten the loyal online poker players. There are some pretty big names that are already part of the ipoker network including Titan Poker, VC Poker and Betfred Poker, making this a sensible move for Sun Poker and will provide their account holders with further promotions and offers. Sun Poker are keen to assure their online Poker players that they are as committed as always to exceptional customer service.
